Tahoe
One of my favourite places in the world is Tahoe. Tahoe is part of my childhood, a place of family gatherings, year round activities, sport, games, fun and total relaxation. Tahoe is in my photos, on my T shirts, in my fond memories. Tahoe, or Lake Tahoe to be exact, straddles the California-Nevada border and is the largest alpine lake in North America. At 6,200 feet (1,900 metres) it is surrounded by national forest covered in pine trees and is a major year round attraction to people in Northern California. Tahoe is very cool.
Julie has been to Tahoe many times and has also fallen for its beauty and attractions. In years past we’ve brought our kids to Tahoe many times to ski in winter or enjoy the lake in summer, all great fun. But while we have been waiting for our camper to be finished she and I recently had the chance to spend one night at the family cabin on the northern shores of Tahoe. And this winter these Sierra Nevada mountains have seen record snow falls which adds to the experience and also causes a few extra challenges. And what great fun it was!
One of my favourite memories is the time spent at this beautiful part of the world many years ago. …. Even if my Uncle Bill did try to freeze when he taught me to water ski in the icy lake without a wetsuit !
Hi Sarah, good to hear from you. It’s all good at this end, just having a fantastic time and all our equipment is working great.
And see how cold water skiing has made you a better person!!!
