Our line on the map
I’ve said it before – Julie and I love maps. We use every sort of possible map to help us along our way – large map books, some fold-up maps, local maps from Tourist Information Centres, Karen – our ever-reliable GPS, Google Maps, a great app called maps.me and anything else we can get our hands on. I also use an online tool called Tripline to help record and share where we’ve been. Here’s a quick look at our the roads we’ve taken in Europe so far on this leg of Follow the Sun.
To get us started in Europe we flew into Frankfurt Germany, took a train to Antwerp Belgium, picked up Tramp from the port there and started driving northward towards and into Scandinavia. This map shows our journey so far to Tallinn Estonia.
Remember that each numbered site on the map is not an overnight stop, it is simply a waypoint to help me accurately map exactly where we’ve gone.
This is a fairly high level map so if you want to drill down into a little more detail, or you just can’t help yourself, click on this link Europe to Tallinn.
I’ll be updating the map every month or so, mainly because it’s fun to re-live where we’ve gone and what we’ve done while we’re there.
And speaking of milestones, this blog post is my 300th since I established www.ourpangaea.net way back in 2009. At the time we had just moved to Bangkok and I was keen to find a way to keep in touch with friends and family in various corners of the world. Facebook wasn’t for me and the idea of a blog fit perfect with our lives in Asia and our travel patterns. Since then it has documented the travels of Julie and I in many countries of the world. Now more than a hobby, it’s just a part of our lives…for better or for worse. Enjoy!
