Easter bunny season

No Easter eggs hiding here – Brad and Alice climb up on the tractor while it has a flat tyre
Easter bunny season is one of the best times of the year if you are around little kids. Not only is it fun to watch young children celebrate Easter with the mythology of the Easter bunny and the whole chocolate eggs thing, but even big kids and adults can get momentarily wrapped up in the fun. And that’s what we all did at our annual family gathering, camping at the property under blue skies and a full moon, enjoying the beautiful setting, great company and a few unneeded chocolate eggs. As you do. I could have also called this blog ‘Easter bunny season, a monster bush walk and a chainsaw accident’ but that would take some of the anticipation out of this chapter.

A ride around the property in the back of the ute is always good fun

…and the end results were pretty satisfying to both hunters

Our annual adventure walk turned out to be quite a challenge but everyone managed to keep a smile

We came across these enormous sandstone overhangs with very soft fine sand covering the steep floor – very unusual and very cool

Still smiling

We walked through some spectacular country but some of it was very steep with very thick cover making most of the walk hard work

The last act of a great walk in the bush – crossing the Wolgan River on a fallen log

Its all about the young kids on Easter weekend
